Accidentally opened the C drive today, and suddenly found that the available space was less than 30G, and then found that it seemed to decrease by 100M every minute, and the space was still decreasing after disk cleaning and garbage cleaning many times. It was poisoned….After I checked it on the Internet, I found out the problem. I hereby write a blog:
Reason: The system is automatically downloading update files, but I don’t need to update, so turn off the update service and delete the system update cache files.
Operation:
1. Close the Windows Update service: win + R, enter services.msc, enter the service, find Windows Update
Right click, click properties, change the startup type to disabled, and stop
2. Find the system update cache file: Open the C drive, follow the path of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download to find a folder with a long name, right click to see its creation time and size, It can be seen that it is the “culprit” that continues to occupy the space of the C drive today, accounting for 4G of memory. Just delete it.
Problem solved.
