This tutorial uses PS to synthesize a miniature aquarium. We have done many synthesis tutorials, and the ultimate goal is to design an eye-catching work. This tutorial will use isometric projection and correction tools, as well as adjustment layers. and layer Mask, students can make them together.

1.Set the background
Go to File > New (Cmd/Ctrl + N), set the width to 230mm, the height to 190mm, the resolution to 300 pixels/inch and click OK. Fill the background with a blue radial gradient (#76b1d9 to #c8e6f3) to represent the light spots.
2. Make a base
Use the Rectangle Tool (U) to create a rectangle. Repeat this, hit Cmd/Ctrl + T to transform this; press Ctrl/right click, select “Twist” and create a second side in this box, then fill the last side with another twisted rectangle. Fill each different shade to create perspective.
3. Insert Ocean
Insert some water, duplicate the layers twice, place them on the other side and delete the unnecessary parts with the Eraser Tool (E) to merge the layers to create a bigger sea. Merge the three layers (Cmd/Ctrl + E) and create a Clipping Mask on the top rectangle.
4. Create a mountain
Insert a mountain and place it in the left corner of the base. Use the Free Transform tool to align the end of the mountain with the baseline.
5.Adjust the peaks
Create a layer mask for the mountain layer and use the Brush Tool (B) to hide some parts on the top, sides and bottom to make it more realistic.
6. Go underwater
Insert some water into the side view and adjust it next to the mountain so that some of it covers the mountain under the water. They can be merged later. Select the Clone Stamp Tool(S) and delete the diver.
7. Work aside
Duplicate the underwater layer, flip it horizontally and use the Free Transform tool to adjust the image like in the screenshot above. Next, create a clipping mask and clip it to the sides of the rectangle.
8. Underwater adjustment
9. Use the Clone Stamp tool and make adjustments as per the screenshot. Delete some parts of the image (such as rocks and bubbles) to make it different from the other side.
Merge them together
Select the mountain layer mask and use the brush tool to hide some parts so that the mountain appears to join the underwater part. Use the Burn Tool (O) and darken some parts of the mountain.
10. Create rocks
Insert some rocks, create a layer mask, and delete the sky and ocean floor parts. Add a color balance adjustment and create a clipping mask for the rock. Add a layer mask and hide the top adjustments. Then just add a photo filter.
11. Create more stones
Place the canyon and adjust it to the same size as the rock. Add a vibration adjustment and create a clipping mask. Group (Cmd/Ctrl + G) and duplicate the rock layer,Then move to the left.
12. Add mountain stone
Insert some stones and place them near the mountain to form a kind of beach. Create a clipping mask. Using the Brush Tool, delete the adjustment to the water, leaving only the stone.
13. Add more stones
Place a beach, create a layer mask and hide any unwanted parts until the image joins the composition. Go to Adjustment Layer > Vibrate and reduce the values.
14. Place a lighthouse
Insert a lighthouse, remove the background, and place the rock formation behind the rocks. Duplicate the layer, Free Transform, press Cmd/Ctrl + U and lower the brightness to -100. Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur > Radius, set it to 26, and reduce the layer opacity to 80%.
15. Create borders
Place the sea, create a layer mask leaving only the edge of the water visible and adjust it to the top edge of the front and right rectangle. For more accuracy, use Free Transform and click the Transform option.
16. Make a water reflection
Insert caustic water and place at bottom of stack; adjust according to rectangular lines. Use a mask to hide unnecessary parts, desaturate, set to soft light and change the opacity to 70%. More thoughts on copying and masking.
17. Create mountain soil
To create the mountain dirt, insert some dirt, again placed at the bottom of the layer stack, adjust it with the Free Transform tool, and change the saturation (Cmd/Ctrl + U). Change the blending mode to dark and use a mask to hide unnecessary parts.
18. Make waves
When you created the box in step 2, rasterize the top rectangle. Make a selection with the Lasso Tool (L) (as shown in the example), then use the Brush tool to fill it with any color to make the edges of the waves rougher.
19.Introduce a ship
Add a ship to the image. You will need to allow time to cut out this image. Once done, paste to a new layer and add a Color Balance adjustment layer: Cyan: -15, Yellow: -10. Go to Layer > Adjustment Layers > Photo Filters > Cool Filter (82), change the Opacity to 10% and create a Clipping Mask.
20. Give the ocean life
Place fish, dolphins, whales and treasure chests and use masks to remove unnecessary parts. Adjust the position, size, color, saturation, brightness and opacity of all elements so they all match within the image.
21. Plant palm trees
Add palm trees and adjust position, size and color. For the shadow, duplicate the layer, adjust the position using Free Transform, open the Saturation toolbar and lower the Brightness to -100. Add a Gaussian Blur with 5px and lower the layer opacity to 50%.
22. Create the sky
Load a cloud brush and insert some clouds on the back, left and right sides of the tank. Alternatively, insert a new sky and mask.
23. Add some elements
Insert some climbers and delete unnecessary onesPoint, adjust size, position, saturation and color. Create shadows for the people on top of the mountain: Duplicate the layer, adjust the position using Free Transform, open the Saturation toolbar and lower the Brightness to -100. Add a Gaussian Blur with a Radius of 8px and lower the layer Opacity to 60%.
24. Create shadows
Create a rectangle with the color #0b2d44 and use the Free Transform tool to adjust it according to the perspective. Set the blending mode to Soft Light. Add a vector mask and use the brush tool to hide the shadow overshoot. Duplicate the layer and change the opacity to 50%.
25. Adjust water color
Create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and add layers to the water (Hue: +5, Saturation: +15), Underwater (Hue: +8, Saturation: -35) and Land on the image (also Hue: + 5, saturation: +15). This will help bring out the most realistic colors in your composition. Dodge and Burn (O) Make necessary corrections to the lights using Paint Mode (Shadows, Midtones and Highlights), paying attention to the direction of the main lighting. Create a new Cooling Filter (82) adjustment layer and change the layer Opacity to 25%.
Complete:
The entire landscape includes rock climbing, sailing tours, and tropical rainforests. Scenes that we will never encounter in reality can be found in PS, and students need to be patient to complete them.
