Photoshop Tutorial: Fun and Stylish Professional Photo Effects – Effects Tutorial

Let’s take a look at the final effect:

Okay, to start, you should find an appropriate photo, or of course use the photo I provided. You can search Google for some photos. and open in Photoshop.

First press Ctrl + J to copy a layer and execute “Filter”>”Other”>”High Contrast Preserve”:

Change the overlay mode and you will get a result:

Now I use some decorative elements to add to the background. After that we will move on to stylizing the picture. Now, select the Brush Tool and download these decorative brushes and use white color. Place it as shown below.

After that, duplicate multiple fancy layers. Then use Ctrl + T to transform and rotate it, and place it as shown below.

Continue adding tricks in the same way.

Merge all the patterns into one layer and use the Smudge Tool (Brush: 10 px, Mode: Normal, Strength: 80%) to smudge as shown in the image below.

Then select the Eraser Tool to remove excess patterns from the screen. Keep the lace part at the back.

After that, take the next step. Create a new layer and then select the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create the selection area as you can see in my screenshot below and fill it with a new layer of white transparent gradient.

Except use Ctrl + D to delete the selection and apply Filter>Blur>Motion Blur and set as shown below:

Next, copy multiple simple layers, as shown below:

Okay, merge all the gradient layers, then select the Eraser Tool and a soft round brush, and paint to make the lines clearer.

Then I want to add a little bit of lighting. For this effect I used the Elliptical Marquee Tool, made an outline and filled it with white.

Use Ctrl + D to deselect and apply Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur and set as follows:

Looks good, doesn’t it?

Add more glow effects in the same way:

One last thing, to enrich the color of your photo. You should first create a new layer and then select the Gradient Tool to fill the canvas area.

After filling, adjust the layer mode and opacity. And set the layer opacity to 40%.
