This tutorial is also a kind of hand-painting, but the tutorial mainly talks about a more alternative hand-painting, Q version effect. Interested students can follow us to learn together.
Original image.
Final renderings.
The process is really hard…
I mentioned the skin earlier, now it’s time to talk about the facial features.
1. Create a new blank layer. The brush settings are as shown
Color as shown
Select the pen tool and outline the path as shown
Right-click the mouse and set as shown in the picture
When you look at the renderings, you will find that the lines are very hard. But it doesn’t matter. We use a softer leather to erase the tip and tail of the pen to make the lines look more natural. Now let’s take a look at the renderings
Select the path you just checked again for the second stroke. Make the brush larger and the value should be between 7-9. Select the pen tool and right-click the path to stroke. Set the check box to simulate pressure. Finished Take another look at the effect
5. Create a new layer. Use a pure white brush to highlight the eyes. The effect is as shown in the picture. The brush settings are all 100%. (Remember to check the airbrush tool. Some people may ask how to draw it. This is not the effect. In fact, you have to use the smudge tool to apply it after painting.)
6. After the eyeballs are done, I start to make the whites of the eyes. Create a new layer and drag it above the layer copy, which is the bottom layer of the blank layer. As shown in the picture
The brush settings are as shown
The effect after adding the whites of the eyes is as shown below (I don’t need to tell you how to do it. It’s all the same as before, use a brush, lower the transparency, and start painting)
7. Create a new layer and put it on the top. Select the pen tool to draw a path (add double eyelids), right-click and stroke, and do not check the simulated pressure. Then use the elephant skin to erase the tip and tail of the pen, filter-blur- Gaussian blur 0.2. The effect is as shown
8. Create a new layer. Draw eyelashes. Draw the path as shown with the pen tool
The brush size is 2 pixels. Right-click and select Simulate Pressure. The effect is as shown
NextJust use the smudge tool to apply the eyelashes on the copy of the original image.
9. Create a new layer, use the eyedropper tool to absorb the darkest color of the eyeball, and use the brush tool to brush a layer on the eyebrows (use a soft brush with a transparency of about 30). Then use the smudge tool to paint the shape (also You can use a leather tool to rub it out directly), the effect is as shown below
Mouth treatment
1. Next make the mouth: create a new layer. Use the eyedropper tool to absorb the darkest color of the mouth. Draw the path as shown in the picture (I forgot to take a screenshot here. Sin. Sin.) The brush size is 2 pixels. Right-click to stroke and do not tick the mold. Similar to pressure. The effect is as shown below
2. On the layer copy, use the blur tool to smooth out the mouth (blur tool value is 100). The effect is as shown below
3. Create a new layer above the copy and add color to the mouth. The effect is as shown
(Due to the angle of the original picture, I felt that the mouth was not very nice, so I modified it.)
4. Use the burn and dodge tool to process the dark parts and highlights of the mouth. The effect is as shown in the picture
The mouth has been processed here. My general method of processing the mouth is relatively simple (mainly pay attention to the position of the dark parts and highlights).
5. I don’t deal with the nose very carefully. I just use the Burn and Dodge tool to paint it over. (With the Burn and Dodge tool, just select the middle tone. Otherwise, the picture will feel dirty
The face is finally completed. See the final renderings
And hair…
Keep up the good work…
1. Select the smear tool and set it as shown in the figure
Apply it to this effect
(Here I directly covered it with the brush handle. I won’t go into the method. It’s all the same. Only the color can be done with the eyedropper tool.
PS I find myself becoming more and more impatient and taking fewer and fewer screenshots. Please forgive me
Use the stamp tool to trim off the messy-looking hair on the sides to make the hair look stylish.
2. Layer the hair. Use the pen tool to outline the path as shown
When tracing, do not use pressure. After tracing, just wipe off the tip of the pen with an elephant skin. The effect is as shown below
3. Use deepen
Lighten
Tools
Process the highlights and dark parts of the hair. The effect is as shown below
4. Create a new layer and add dark hair to the hair. I won’t take a screenshot of the path. See the final rendering
PS. Just kill me. I forgot to take screenshots of the rest
5. Create a new layer. Add highlights to the hair. Use the eyedropper tool to absorb the color of the highlights of the hair. The effect is as shown below.
6. If you feel that the hair effect is not enough, build another layer on top and add some highlights to the hair. The effect is as shown below.
7. Create a new layer and add some messy hair. The effect is as shown in the picture. (The treatment of clothes is similar to that of hair, so I won’t go into details. After the whole thing is done, adjust the color. See the final effect picture). OMG finally Finished
