2. Unzip

Note that Oracle is divided into two files, after downloading, Unzip the two files into the same directory. In the path name, it is best not to appear in Chinese, and to avoid irregular characters such as spaces.

2. Configure security updates: In this step, you can fill in your own email address (you can also leave it blank, but it is useless to receive some emails only). Uncheck “I want to receive Security Updates (W) through My Oracle Support” below. As shown in the picture:

3. Installation option: directly choose to create and configure a database by default (after installing the database management software, the system will automatically create a database instance) . As shown in the picture:

5. Typical installation: important steps. It is recommended that you only need to update the Oracle base directory, and the directory path should not contain Chinese or other special characters. The global database name can be defaulted, and the password must be kept in mind. When the password is entered, there will be a prompt warning, if it does not meet the recommendation of Oracel, don’t worry about it. (Because the password rule suggested by Oracel is cumbersome, it must be uppercase letters plus lowercase letters plus numbers, and must be more than 8 digits. Trouble, you can just enter the short password you are used to usually) As shown in the figure:

6. Prerequisite check: The installer will check whether the hardware and software system meets the minimum requirements for installing this Oracle version. Maybe it’s because the path I decompressed contains Chinese, all the checks failed, but it doesn’t matter if it fails, just choose “ignore all” directly, and it has no effect on its function. (1) After the database management software files and dbms files are installed, a database with the orcl name in front of the default instance database will be automatically created and installed. As shown in the picture:

(2) The instance database is created, and the system defaults to lock all accounts and disable them (except sys and system accounts are available) , it is recommended to click the password management on the right, unlock the commonly used scott account and enter the password. As shown in the picture:

(3) Unlock the scott account, remove the green tick in front, and enter the password. You can also enter a short password that you usually use, and you don’t have to add numbers with more than 8 uppercase and lowercase characters suggested by oracle. As shown in the picture:

(4) Similarly, if the password does not comply with the rules, it will prompt. Leave it alone and continue with Y. As shown in the picture:

9. Finish: the installation is complete, just close it.

3. Test

Find “Sql Plus” in the start menu and open it.

Then enter the username scott in the black box. The password is the previously set password. If the content shown in the figure below is displayed, it means that the installation and login are successful.
