DATE values exported as binary

If “export binary data as hex” is checked when
exporting data, DATE and DATETIME field values are
exported as hexadecimal rather than as strings.

Observed with MySQL versions 4.1.4-gamma and
5.0.1-alpha, running on IIS 5.0/Win2K.

I don’t believe that this is the correct behavior, nor
can I see it being useful, since MySQL is going to be
expect these to be strings for purposes of import.
