This tutorial is a synthesis tutorial. We use PS to synthesize ordinary portraits into a half-length ice and snowman effect. It is relatively easy to get started. Generally speaking, we need to do the following operations, that is, first select a material picture and cut out the characters individually. If students are not very skilled in cutting out pictures, they can find a picture with an obvious theme. This makes it easier to pick. Then add the texture of ice and snow to the character, modify the blending mode appropriately, and the filter enhancement effect can be completed. Learn more through the tutorial. I believe students will master it quickly.

Operation steps:
1. Select the Magic Wand Tool http://www.16xx8.com/tags/38455/, set the tolerance to 10, hold down SHIFT and click continuously on the background of the character material until it is All backgrounds are selected. Press SHIFT+CTRL+Ishortcut keyhttp://www.16xx8.com/photoshop/jiaocheng/110097.html to invert the selection of the character.
2. Select the move tool and drag the character to the blue background file to generate layer 1.
3. Open a file, press CTRL+A to select all, press CTRL+C to copy the image to the clipboard, and then close the file.
4. The current file is a character image. Hold down the CTRL key and click the thumbnail of layer 1 to load its selection. Press the SHIFT+CTRL+V shortcut key to execute the “Paste” command and paste the copied image into the current file. The selected area will be converted into a layer Mask http://www.16xx8. com/tags/38847/, and limit the display range of the pasted image.
5. Duplicate layer 1 and drag the copied layer to the top layer.
6. Execute the “Decolor” command, press the CTRL+L shortcut key, and execute the “Levels” command to increase the contrast of the image.
7. Set the layer’s blending mode to “Soft Light”.
8. Duplicate layer 1 again and move the duplicated layer to the top layer.
9. Execute the “Minghuang” command. Set the layer’s blending mode to “Soft Light.”
10. Execute the “Levels” command to enhance the dark areas of the image.
11. The ice sculpture effect is not smooth enough, and the direction of the texture needs to be modified by using the smear tool. Select the Smudge Tool, set the tool’s strength to 35% in the toolbar, and drag the Smudge on the legs and sub, making the clear and trivial texture soft and smooth.
12. Layer 1 has always been located at the bottom of the palette, covered by other layers, and does not really play a role. The reason why we retain this layer is to let it play a finishing role in the final operation. Select layer 1 and move it to the front layer. Select the eraser tool and erase the right arm and leg of the character. The erased area will reveal the ice sculpture effect image in the layer below.
13. Create a new blank layer, select the brush tool, set the foreground color to white, click on the ice sculpture part of the character’s body, and draw some star-shaped flashes.
14. Create a new blank layer and place it above “Layer 2”. Select the Polygonal Lasso Tool and fill it with dark blue as the drop shadow. In order to make the shadow have different shades of tones, you can use the eraser tool to erase the edges of the shadow appropriately.
Complete:
The synthesis tutorial is roughly like this. You can imagine some pictures and complete them in PS. This tutorial demonstrates a photo of a character with an ice and snow effect. Students can also design it according to their own needs. For example, it is possible to replace the ice and snow effect with a mechanized portrait. For this kind of production, our website also has many corresponding tutorials. Students can search for relevant keywords to learn.
