avahi-daemon is a service daemon process that runs on the client computer on the Linux operating system to implement the search for the Zeroconf service based on the network. This service can realize DNS service discovery and DNS multicast specification for Zeroconf network. User programs receive notifications of discovered network services and resources via Linux D-Bus messaging. This daemon cooperates with caching replies from user programs to help reduce network traffic for replies.
